Terms of Service
Last updated October 8, 2026
These terms cover your use of Matlyst, a service of Cyberlyte ("we"). By creating an account or using Matlyst you agree to them.
What Matlyst is, and isn't
- Matlyst is a screening tool that supports material selection. It matches the materials you list to published test data and flags possible issues.
- It does not certify, approve or guarantee that any material, part or product is compliant, safe or fit for a purpose. Results are based on published data that may not match your specific product, lot, cure or use.
- Final material approval is always your engineers' responsibility. Compliance flags (RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, PFAS) are based on material type and must be confirmed with your supplier's declarations.
Your account
- Keep your login private. You are responsible for activity on your account and your company's seats.
- Each plan includes a set number of users. Don't share logins to get around seat limits.
What you upload
- You keep ownership of your parts lists and results. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service.
- Do not upload export-controlled data (ITAR or EAR), classified information, or anything you don't have the right to share.
Plans and payment
- Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars and are billed by Stripe.
- Starter and Team are billed monthly with a 3-month minimum. After three paid months you can cancel anytime; the plan runs to the end of the paid month.
- The paid trial is a one-time charge. If you subscribe within 30 days, it is credited once against your first monthly invoice.
- Monthly screening allowances reset on your billing date and don't roll over. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape, copy or resell Matlyst's data or results in bulk, try to break its security, or use it to build a competing database.
- We may limit or suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Data sources
Matlyst cites the public sources behind its results, including NASA's Outgassing Database and FAA technical reports. Those sources are provided by their publishers "as is"; we don't control them, and they may change.
Liability
Matlyst is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll tell account owners before it takes effect.
